A fugitive, wanted for helping the IRA in a bombing gone horribly wrong, is smuggled into the SF harbor. In order to hide here, and to lose all vestiges of his Irish past and disappear; into the new American identity. Sean soon finds himself at the mercy of one of his captors who is intent on using him in as series of hackneyed drug deals to make money. Sean searches desperately for a way out, but everyone seems to have their own motives with him. As Sean’s past and future seem to disappear, Sean is left with little hope of a way out.

Ganya is an orphan, who is at the mercy of his evil uncle and aunt. As the sole inheritor of a large property, his life is made miserable by them, who have him around only to take hold of his riches.
Unable to tolerate their behavior, he runs away from home, and reaches Lord Ganesha’s temple. Gangu Tai takes pity on him and takes him home. She cares for him like her own son, and Ganya is happy to have a mother that he never found in his aunt. But his happiness is short lives, for he is discovered and taken back to his uncle and aunt.
Once more he is ill treated, and feeling helpless he cries his heart out in front of Ganesha’s idol. Will God come to earth and protect the little boy?
